PA Day Elementary

No school for students
February 14, 2025 is a Professional Activity (PA) Day for elementary and secondary schools. Staff will engage in learning on key Ministry priorities: Literacy and Numeracy, and Student Well-being and Safety (view the agenda). There will be no school for students. EarlyON Centres will be closed.

Ottawa 67's "Heads Up Program" presentation in the GYM
12:45pm - 1:40pm
The Ottawa 67’s are excited to launch the Heads Up Program, a new mental health initiative aimed at building resilience among students in grades 4-6.
This engaging 70-minute session includes insightful presentations from an expert psychiatrist, interactive small group work with 67’s players, and an engaging physical activity component to end the session. By connecting with players and learning practical strategies, students will gain valuable skills to strengthen their mental well-being and contribute to a more supportive community.

New Date - Resource Fair: Transition Planning for Youth with Intellectual Disabilities
5:00pm - 8:30pm
The OCDSB, in partnership with the Ottawa Catholic School Board, is hosting a Transition Planning Fair for families, caregivers and youth with intellectual disabilities. This event will provide information about service coordination, community day programs, recreation, housing and more. Learn more.
School Bus Driver Appreciation Day

PUFFS play at Cairine Wilson SS for Grades 7 & 8 students *see notes for details
12:30pm - 3:25pm
The grade 7 and 8 students are invited to Cairine Wilson SS to watch an upcoming play called PUFFS, which is a hilarious satire of a certain wizarding school. It will be performed by grade 10 drama students at CW.Â
The classes involved are: 6/7 Reg, 7/8 Reg, 7 EFI, 7/8 EFI and 8 EFI.
The cost is $5 per student to cover the rights to this play, and also to cover the cost of the elaborate sets/props that are needed.
We will walk over to Cairine Wilson at 12:30 pm on May 7th and the play will run from 1 - 3 pm. We will then walk back to the school for buses and hometime.
