Multicultural Potluck  Success!

Today was a wonderful opportunity to come together to celebrate our diversity while participating in our school wide potluck. There was so much food, stories and experiences that were shared. Thank you for contributing to this memorable and meaningful annual event. Several students were dressed in traditional clothing which also added to the day’s festivities. 

Important message from OSTA

Ottawa Student Transportation (OSTA) has implemented an opt-out process to enhance bus routing and transportation planning for the 2025-2026 school year.

If your child(ren) will not require school bus transportation next school year, please complete the electronic opt-out form to inform OSTA that a seat is not needed. This will help optimize services and minimize disruptions. Requests for reinstated service can be made anytime through OSTA’s Transportation Issues Form, and is subject to availability and eligibility.

The opt-out form is now available on OSTA’s website. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2025

Field Trip Procedure 

This year there was a substantial overhaul of our field trip and volunteer procedure. Please ensure that all forms are completed (permission and if necessary school cash online).  

Bike Safety 

With the nice weather finally here we are noticing many students are riding their bikes to school.  A reminder that students should walk their bikes as soon as they arrive on school property. 

Athletic Update

Congratulations to our junior boys badminton team who place first place at their tournament last week.

Excellent sportsmanship was demonstrated by all over the past couple of weeks as students participated in the school track and field events. Next week our junior team will represent our school at the track meet. Best of luck to all these athletes. 

Intermediate girls and boys soccer is starting next week with the tournament happening early June.

Halo Car Wash x Terry Fox School Council Fundraiser

Wash fr a cause! Get your car washed at Halo Carwash (any location) and support the Terry Fox School Council. Visit this link to purchase a Platinum Wash for $20 plus tax (regular $28) and $10 will go directly to the Terry Fox School Council. Once purchased, the wash code(s) will be texted to the phone number used when completing the checkout process. When you arrive at any Halo Car Wash you can drive up to a pay terminal in a pay lane, click "Enter Wash Code" and input the code on the screen. This fundraiser will run until September 2025. Clean car, great cause - spread the word!!!
