Arts Fest

Thank you to all our families who came out to our annual Arts Fest last week. There were many talents on display and it is always a treat to hear our bands and choir perform. Between the raffle and the Bake Sale we raised $460 to put toward enhancements in our Arts department.

EQAO

Next week our Grade 6 students will be writing EQAO in the areas of language and math. https://www.eqao.com/about-eqao/

Important message from OSTA

Ottawa Student Transportation (OSTA) has implemented an opt-out process to enhance bus routing and transportation planning for the 2025-2026 school year.

If your child(ren) will not require school bus transportation next school year, please complete the electronic opt-out form to inform OSTA that a seat is not needed. This will help optimize services and minimize disruptions. Requests for reinstated service can be made anytime through OSTA’s Transportation Issues Form, and is subject to availability and eligibility.

The opt-out form is now available on OSTA’s website. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2025

Grade 8 Photo Retakes

Any families who would like to have retakes done, the photographer will be back on June 2 from 9:00am-11:00am.

Yearbook Cover Contest!

Thank you to all students who submitted their drawings for the cover of our yearbook. The winner will be revealed at the time of print.

Athletic Update

Congratulations to our junior track and field team who competed last week. We had 40 students who competed in the various events. Mme Marshall and M Beaulieu were so proud of how the students demonstrated good sportsmanship.

Next week our Intermediates will compete at the Hudson Sargeant relay races at Cairine Wilson.

Intermediate girls and boys soccer started this week and Mme Marshall and Mme Lefebvre are finalizing their team early next week.

Cycling Safety

With the nice weather we are seeing more and more students bringing their bikes to school. Conversations around bike safety, helmets and locking up their bikes are among some of the topics that have been discussed. Thank you for continuing these conversations at home. All students must walk their bikes/scooters as soon as they are on school property.
